Day 1: San Antonio to Oklahoma City
We kicked off our adventure bright and early, hitting the road around 10:30 in the morning. The excitement of the open road was palpable as we left the bustling streets of San Antonio behind.
Texas Heatwave:
As we ventured north through Texas, we couldn't ignore the relentless heat. The temperature soared to a scorching 112 degrees when we reached Dallas.
Twin Fountains RV Resort:
Our oasis for the night was the Twin Fountains RV Resort in Oklahoma City. It was a haven of luxury and comfort amidst the Texas heat. The resort, with its lush landscaping and well-maintained grounds, provided a sense of safety and tranquility.
The Perfect Site:
We were assigned to site P4, a full pull-through site. This meant we could keep our 47-foot RV and trailer hooked up and ready to go, without the hassle of disconnecting. It made our stay incredibly convenient, especially after a long day on the road.
Dining Delight:
One of the delightful surprises was the full-service restaurant and bar on-site, which stayed open until 9 o'clock. After check-in, we settled in and enjoyed a delicious dinner without having to leave the resort. It was the perfect way to unwind and refuel after a day of travel.
Prepping for Tomorrow:
After dinner, we returned to our site, hooked up to utilities, and got cleaned up. With all the comforts of home in our RV, we were well-rested and ready to tackle the next leg of our journey.
Day 2: Onward to Iowa
We greeted the new day around 8 o'clock in the morning, all packed up and ready to hit the road again by 10 o'clock. Our adventure continued as we headed north toward Iowa, eager to explore new horizons.

8. 24-Hour Security: Feeling safe is crucial, and I was reassured by the presence of 24-hour security on-site, providing a secure environment for all guests.
